Publix Penny Item 10/4 & 10/5

The mystery penny item is Publix Sandwhich Bread!

This is a great item and will go quickly so get your penny q from the paper and get a move on.  I'm glad I planned my trip already!  I have seperated my lists into several transactions so I can get more than one penny item.  Remember, you only have to spend $10 before qs to get the item and my store always lets me include the original price of the penny item in my $10 total.

Thanks DH for going to pick up my paper and reporting back!

If your family is like ours, then you normally eat whole wheat bread.  Need ideas for what to do with your white bread?  Check out the tons of uses here.  This is one of my favorite recipe websites because the recipes are submitted by other users, not professional chefs!  I plan on using my bread for bread crumbs and Turkey Day stuffing, easy peazy!

3x's A Winner at Kmart Doubles! (10/3)

I did it. I actually went to Kmart 3 times this week. I haven't been to Kmart that many times in the last 3 years!  I got some great items to add to my donation box for our local women's shelter and animal shelter.  I didn't have any issues at the register and all the associates I encountered were very friendly and helpful.  That was an unexpected surprise considering the horrible experiences I have had in the past at this particular store.  The overall appearance and cleaniness of the store still isn't up to Target's standard, but this Kmart, in my opinion, seems to be making strides with improving their customer service.  I hope they keep up the good work in that area!

More great deals from tonight using my coupon match ups.  Check out my first two trips here and here.

My OOP was $7.28 and all these items originally would have cost me over $60.00!!!!

Special thanks to my friend at PalmettoStateSaver for the q trades!  My furry kids thank you from the bottom of their bellies!

Hope you enjoyed doubles week as much as I did!

Happy Saving!

Planning My Attack on Publix 10/4

I found lots of FREEBIES at Publix this week so I am strategically planning my assault for Sunday.  I will do at least three or four transactions to get more than one of whatever the Penny item happens to be - cross your fingers it's a good one! If it's not then I'll combine some of my transactions and take advantage of my $5/$25 CVS and Rite-aid qs to get even lower OOP.

I know you're probably wondering what on earth I could possibly need after you checked out my stockpile post, but veteran couponers know couponing is an addiction.  If you're still a newbie, don't worry!  It doesn't take long to become one with the coupon.

Round Two At Kmart 10/1

I mainly went back to Kmart to check out the prices on a few items to see if they would end up being a good deal and to use my $2 off produce q.  I did find a couple of things that might interest you so I updated my Kmart Super Doubles Coupon Match Up again!  If you didn't see my first score at Kmart, check it out here!

(4) Colgate Whitening toothpaste 8.2oz sale price $2.50ea

Just a quick point to stress: Remember to hand over your $5/$50 q before your other qs otherwise the register won't accept it.  I learned this the hard way at the last doubles event!

What's In Your Closet?

I was reviewing my monthly totals and grocery store receipts last night and it got me to thinking...um, no comments from the peanut gallery about smelling smoke, thank you.  What do we NOT need to buy for the next 3, 6, 9, or even 12 months?  I have been couponing for about a year, and only seriously for the last 6 months.  In that time, I have been able to take advantage of some great triples and doubles events and I noticed that I had accumulated quite a stockpile, growing to the point that I am running out of space to store stuff!  I was wondering what you had stockpiled but, I also want to know what do you HAVE to buy each week, no matter what?
