New Coupons for Osh Kosh and Carter's

The last set of coupons for Carter's and Osh Kosh expired on 10/7.

I have new ones for you here and here.

Both coupons are valid thru 10/13 and can be used at their outlet stores.  I know people are wary of pdf coupons, but these came in emails I received directly from Carter's and Osh Kosh, so no worries!

I'm off to Publix!

Publix Penny Item 10/11 & 10/12

I'm running a little behind this morning, but the Publix Penny Item is

Publix Coffee

I'm excited about this week's item again, because I was just thinking this very morning, "We're down to one bag of coffee.  Better start looking for deals."  Ask and you shall receive...I'm not arguing with this divine intervention!

Remember, you only have to spend $10 before coupons to qualify for your penny item.  Don't forget to bring your penny coupon from the Sunday paper.

Sweet Finds at Food Lion, Bi-Lo, and Wally World

Made a few pit stops at Food Lion and Bi-Lo this week to pick up some of their specials that I needed for the Girls Night I was having at my house this past Friday.  I came across a few unexpected goodies!

Bi-Lo:
What's girls night without wine?

Bella Sera, Turning Leaf, and another brand (I think it was Red Oak?) are on sale at Bi-Lo and all have $1/1 hang tags on them!  Holy crap - a coupon for wine!  Count me in!
Turning Leaf Pinot Noir $8.99
-Bi-Lo Bonus savings $1.50 and $1/1 hang tag = $6.49

Bella Sera Pino Grigio $10.99
-Bi-Lo Bonus savings $3.50 and $1/1 hang tag = $6.49

Then when I check out, I get a catalina for $2/2 onyo Turning Leaf wine!  Excellent!

Food Lion:
McCormick Spices (select varieties) are on sale 30% off.  At my store, the ones on sale were Garlic Salt, Salt and Peppercorn Grinders, Italian Herb Grinders, Cinnamon, Imitation Almond and Vanilla Extract, and a few others.
-Use $1/1 from here, use zip code 30303
*After coupon and sale price, I paid $1.54 for Imitation Almond Extract, $.29 for Italian Herb Grinder (this is the yummy seasoning Carraba's uses with oil to make dipping sauce for their bread!), and $.74 for Garlic Salt

At checkout, the register gave me a catalina for $2 onyo with no minimum purchase required and the q doesn't expire until 10/23!  The coupon says buy 2, 3, or 4 McCormick Spices, Herbs, or Extracts to get $1, $2, or $3 onyo!  I guess my garlic powder didn't count in this promotion for me to get the $3 off my next order...Hurry!  This promo ends 10/11!!

Found some great tearpad and blinkies at Food Lion:
-$2/2 Hillshire Farm lunch meat
-$.50/1 any Ronzoni pasta noodles (on sale at Publix, makes it around $.20ea!)
-$1/1 any Kellogg's Fruit Loops
-Peelies for $.20/1 Cabot Cheese.  I don't normally take a peelie if I'm not going to purchase the item right then, but I do know I'm buying this cheese at Publix this weekend and Publix will double this coupon...I know, I rationalized it.

Wal-Mart:
Thanks to Charlotte for this great tip!

Wal-mart has the Airwick Freshmatic Ultra air fresheners marked down to $6!  Normally, these are the ones that run $12.99 or more!
-Use $6 from SS 8/30 (exp 10/11), 9/13, and 9/27 = FREE

I LOVE rain checks!

Why you ask?

The answer is easy!  So I can make my own sale later!  I went to Publix last night to get rain checks for the Pillsbury Crescent & Sweet Rolls, Nestle Tollhouse cookie dough, and Scrubbing Bubbles.  Publix rain checks are the best because they don't expire for a year (most stores only honor a rain check for a month) and (my store at least) Publix automatically writes your rain check for the maxium quantity (usually 8).  The store only has to be out of one variety of the sale item for you to get a rain check -sweet!  This way you have some time to gather more coupons and get more of the sale items at a great price later on when you need that item again and you don't have to worry about if it's on sale!  Publix will not typically give a rain check on their Advantage Buys, which you find in their Yellow and Green Store Flyers.  These sales run for a month, so they figure you have plenty of time to take "advantage" of that promotion.

I really do LOVE shopping at Publix!  Many people feel they are over priced therefore believing they can't afford to shop there.  That just means they haven't learned how to combine coupons with Publix sale items.  I used to think that way as well, but I'm glad I have seen the error of my ways.  I really can't imagine going back to Wally World to do my regular grocery shopping anymore.  I cringe at the very thought of it!  I love walking into my Publix and not instantly being overwhelmed by the assault of color and noise that is associated with that "other" store.  Enough soap box.  Let's get to the good stuff!  Here's how my trip went last night at Publix:

(2) Healthy Choice Frozen Dinners
(1) Nestle Tollhouse Mini Chocolate Chip cookie dough
(4) Fancy Feast Cat food appetizer
(10) Green Giant frozen veggies
(4) Publix reuseable cooler bags - I was stoked that I found some of these!  I really didn't want to get anymore of the $.99 bags and they didn't have any of the Halloween ones left. Boo. (Get it? It's a Halloween pun and a feeling?  I know.  I'm a dork...Gheez.)

OOP was $.77 baby!  I only had to pay tax and the cashier couldn't enter my last two coupons because my total can't be a negative!  Fine by me!  I'll save those coupons for another day.
