3x's A Winner at Kmart Doubles! (10/3)

I did it. I actually went to Kmart 3 times this week. I haven't been to Kmart that many times in the last 3 years!  I got some great items to add to my donation box for our local women's shelter and animal shelter.  I didn't have any issues at the register and all the associates I encountered were very friendly and helpful.  That was an unexpected surprise considering the horrible experiences I have had in the past at this particular store.  The overall appearance and cleaniness of the store still isn't up to Target's standard, but this Kmart, in my opinion, seems to be making strides with improving their customer service.  I hope they keep up the good work in that area!

More great deals from tonight using my coupon match ups.  Check out my first two trips here and here.

Special thanks to my friend at PalmettoStateSaver for the q trades!  My furry kids thank you from the bottom of their bellies!

Hope you enjoyed doubles week as much as I did!

Happy Saving!

Planning My Attack on Publix 10/4

I found lots of FREEBIES at Publix this week so I am strategically planning my assault for Sunday.  I will do at least three or four transactions to get more than one of whatever the Penny item happens to be - cross your fingers it's a good one! If it's not then I'll combine some of my transactions and take advantage of my $5/$25 CVS and Rite-aid qs to get even lower OOP.

I know you're probably wondering what on earth I could possibly need after you checked out my stockpile post, but veteran couponers know couponing is an addiction.  If you're still a newbie, don't worry!  It doesn't take long to become one with the coupon.

Round Two At Kmart 10/1

I mainly went back to Kmart to check out the prices on a few items to see if they would end up being a good deal and to use my $2 off produce q.  I did find a couple of things that might interest you so I updated my Kmart Super Doubles Coupon Match Up again!  If you didn't see my first score at Kmart, check it out here!

Saving High at Bi-Lo!

I make a quick stop at Bi-Lo today to check out the NY Strip steaks on sale for $2.99ea.  As long as they aren't too fatty, as I was forwarned they sometimes are, I wanted to pick some up as a treat for my fam.  I found 4 that weren't too bad looking, I guess. :-)  I'm not the best judge of steaks to begin with.  I have no idea how to cook them either.  I also picked up 3 pks of the Angel Soft toilet paper that was on sale and I had a rain check for Magic Erasers from when they were BOGO a few weeks ago.
Here's how it worked out:

$11.96 = (4) steaks at $2.99ea
FREE = (3) 4 roll pks Angel Soft toilet paper $.98ea (used $.50/1 RP 9/13 - q is for 4 roll double pk but everyone else seems to be doing the same deal, so...)
$.62 = (4) 2ct Magic Erasers (BOGO sale raincheck + $1.00 P&G 8/30 + $.75 home mailer q + (2) BOGO  P&G 9/27)
$.10 credit for bringing 2 Bi-Lo reusable bags

$13.23 OOP after tax and saved $18.62 and I only need $5.66 to reach my next fuel perk reward to get $.10 off each gallon of gas at Speedway.  Whoohoo!

Freebies on Monday? No Way!

I hope you got up early enough to get your FREE box of Smuckers Uncrustables.  I didn't!  I had a doctor's appointment - ugh.  Which I might add, I wasn't able to go to because of an 11 car pile up!  Crazy drivers made me miss my appointment (any excuse to avoid getting stitches works for me, wink, wink) and miss out on a freebie my DD loves!

Photobooks are great holiday presents for grandparents.  You can get a FREE 5x7 photobook by becoming a fan of Walgreen's facebook page before October 2nd (shipping and handling is not free).  Walgreen's facebook page will have more specific details on October 2nd, but make sure you become a fan before then!

What's better than going to see a great theater production?  Going to see it for FREE, of course!  Go to 5th Annual FREE Night at the Theaters to see if your area/state production houses are participating in the event on October 1st.  If your area is participating, make certain you get up extra early on October 1st to reserve your tickets - they go quick!

Update on Kmart Super Doubles Event

There were lots of rumors about the Kmart Super Doubles Event, but I read lots of blogs this morning reporting some great successes!  All qs have been doubling, not just P&G!  So if you haven't already, plan your attack and get some great deals!  To sweeten the deal, click here and print a $5/$50 coupon valid until 10/3/09.

Happy Saving!

Publix Penny Item 9/27 & 9/28

The Publix Penny item is Publix 6pk bottled water!

This is a great deal if you have kids playing fall sports. I know you go through bottled water like, well...water!

The Goose Creek Px doesn't have the new Green Advantage flyers in yet (last one exp on 9/25), but they do have the new "Fresh, Flavorful, Frozen" booklets at customer service.  They also have the Better at Home $20 savings booklets.  This one is different than the one they have had in the past.  The previous one only had a few qs in it, but this one has several pages of qs.  It's located near the front of the cereal aisle in it's own display stand that comes about waist high.  The display has both the smaller and bigger Better at Home booklets in it.

These are the qs from the larger booklet:
All are manufacturer coupons and expire 11/2

$1/2 Nature Valley, Curves , Fiber One, Caribou Coffee Chewy Granola Bars, or Chex Mix Bars
$1 off Whole Grain Total Cereals, various types
$1 off Cookie Crisp Cereal
$1/2 General Mills Cereals Various types
$1/2 any Frozen Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits, Cinnamon Rolls OR Mini Cinnamon Rolls
$1/2 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes, Fruit by the Foot, Gushers, Roll-Ups or Stickerz
$1/2 Cheerios Snack Mix or Chex Mix or Chex 100 Calorie Snack
$1/3 Old El Paso Products
$1/3 Hamburger Helper, Tuna or Chicken Helper Home Cooked Skillet Meals
$1/2 Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations Dough Sheets
$1/2 Betty Crocker Potatoes (except Potato Buds)
$1 off Muir Glen Product any (you can get tomato paste for $.09!!!)
$1/2 Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Frozen Vegetables
$1/2 Pillsbury Honey Butter Grands Biscuits
$1/2 Totino’s Rolls Snacks
$1/2 General Mills Cheerios, various types
$1/8 Yoplait Yogurt cups or any flavor Yoplait Original or Light Smoothie
$1 off Cascadian Farm product any
$1/2 Pillsbury Refrigerated Cookie Dough
$1/2 Toaster Strudel Pastries

And ladies...let's remember to practice ethical couponing.  My store had a new display stand set up for Nature's Own bread and on it was supposed to be a tearpad with qs, but the entire tearpad had already been taken.  I really don't believe that entire tearpad of qs was used since all the bread was still there.  I was just in there on Friday, two days ago...The same thing happened this week with the new display stand of Pillsbury Easy frosting.  Don't think I won't call you out, if I see you doing this. 'Nuf said.
